WWE Raw results, June 19, 2017: Roman Reigns to kick off Raw with SummerSlam announcement


WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (19th June, 2017) from the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for early next month in Dallas, Texas.

WWE Raw results, June 19, 2017:

– Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up with Michael Cole welcoming us. We’re live from Evansville, IN. Cole is joined by Corey Graves and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.

– We go right to the ring and out comes Roman Reigns for his big SummerSlam announcement. JoJo makes the introduction.

The Bigdog Roman Reigns takes the mic to mixed reactions. He says some of us might not like this but he cannot be beaten one-on-one when it comes down to it. Ask Bray Wyatt, ask Finn Balor, ask his little brother Seth Rollins, ask Braun Strowman because Reigns put him out of commission. Roman Reigns also brags on retiring The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. Fans chant Taker’s name now. Roman Reigns says he respects Taker and Taker respects him because Roman Reigns beat him. Roman Reigns doesn’t care who has the WWE Universal Title after Great Balls of Fire – Brock Lesnar or that guy they call Joe, because Roman Reigns will be the #1 contender at SummerSlam. Why? Because this is Roman’s yard and Roman Reigns makes the rules around here. And that is why he… the music interrupts and out comes Samoa Joe.

Samoa Joe says Roman Reigns must have forgotten his name. First he was offended but he understands Roman Reigns had to come out and make a case for his big announcement. Samoa Joe says his name wasn’t on that list of people Roman Reigns has beaten because he’s never defeated Samoa Joe .Samoa Joe re-introduces himself. His name is Samoa Joe and he is the true #1 contender, and the next WWE Universal Champion. Roman Reigns says he never thought he’d agree with Paul Heyman but he was right last week. Roman Reigns says Samoa Joe will never be Samoa Joe to him, he will always just be Joe. They face off and Joe rocks Roman Reigns with a headbutt. They brawl to the floor and Samoa Joe sends Roman Reigns into the barrier twice. Samoa Joe slams Roman Reigns’ face into the apron and rolls him back into the ring. Joe grabs Roman Reigns and talks some trash. He goes for the Coquina Clutch but Reigns fights him off. Roman Reigns nails a Superman punch, sending Joe out of the ring. They face off as Roman Reigns’ music hits and Samoa Joe backs up the ramp.

– We see The Hardys (Jeff,Matt Hardy) backstage walking. We go to break.

– Back from the break and Joe vs. Reigns is announced for tonight’s main event.

The Hardys vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

We go to the ring and out comes The Hardys to a big pop. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are out next.

Karl Anderson starts off with Matt Hardy and they go at it. Matt gets the upperhand and tags in Jeff Hardy for a bit of double teaming out of the corner. Matt hardy comes back in for more work on Karl Anderson in the corner. The Hardys hit a double suplex for a 2 count by Matt hardy.Luke Gallows comes in and takes control but misses an elbow drop. Jeff Hardy tags back in for more double teaming. Jeff Hardy knocks Karl Anderson off the apron and hits Poetry In Motion in the corner. Jeff Hardy splashes Luke Gallows for a 2 count

Luke Gallows decks Jeff Hardy and takes him to their corner to turn it around. Karl Anderson works Jeff over in the corner. Jeff Hardy tries to make a comeback but Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows drop him in the corner and stand tall as we go to break.

Back from the break and Jeff is still down in the opposite corner. We see RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus watching backstage again. Anderson keeps Jeff from tagging. Jeff finally kicks him away but Gallows tags in and knocks Matt off the apron.

Luke Gallows with a big running splash to Jeff Hardy in the corner. Anderson tags in but Jeff Hardy fights them both off. Jeff Hardy goes to the top and comes crashing down on both opponents. Matt finally gets the tag and unloads on Anderson as the “delete!” chants start. Matt knocks Luke Gallows off the apron. Matt keeps control and hits the Side Effect but Gallows breaks the pin. Luke Gallows ends up dropping Jeff on the floor with a big boot. Anderson distracts the referee while Luke Gallows drops Matt with a right hand. Anderson follows up and tags in Luke Gallows. They hit the Boot of Doom but Matt kicks out just in time. Jeff takes out Anderson while Luke Gallows floors Matt into the corner. Jeff Hardy tags in as Matt hits a Twist of Fate on Luke Gallows . Jeff Hardy climbs up and nails a Swanton Bomb for the pin on Luke Gallows.

Winners: The Hardys

After the match, The Hardys stand tall as we go to replays.

– Still to come, Joe vs. Reigns. Back to break.

– Back from the break and we get another Shattered Dreams Productions video from Goldust. He’s ready for his close-up now. The Golden One invites R-Truth to next week’s RAW in Los Angeles for his latest motion picture – The Shattered Truth.

– We go to the ring and JoJo introduces Elias Samson. He’s sitting in the middle of the ring with a spotlight and his guitar. He does his intro, knocks Evansville and goes to sing a song but has to stop to tune his guitar. He asks for complete silence as he tunes but the boos continue. The music interrupts and out comes Finn Balor to a pop.

Finn Balor hits the ring and comes face to face with Samson. Samson slowly backs away and leaves the ring as fans boo. Samson heads to the back but Finn Balor will be in action next. Back to commercial.

Finn Balor vs. Bo Dallas

Back from the break and Bo Dallas is wrapping up his entrance as Finn Balor waits.

Bo Dallas attacks Finn Balor out of nowhere and sends him into the corner, before the bell even rings. Bo Dallas unloads on Balor and beats him down. The referee checks on Finn Balor and calls for the bell. Bo Dallas attacks again and backs Finn Balor into the corner. Bo Dallas with a clothesline. Bo keeps control and continues dominating Finn Balor .

Bo Dallas brings the fight to the floor and launches Finn Balor into the barrier. Bo Dallas with a running knee to the face against the barrier. Bo Dallas brings Finn Balor back into the ring and covers for a 2 count.

Finn Balor finally gets in some offense and drops Bo Dallas with the overhead kick. Bo Dallas comes right back but Finn Balor fights him. Finn Balor drops Bo Dallas and stomps away. Finn Balor unloads with stomps as the referee warns him. Finn Balor clotheslines Bo to the floor and nails a running kick to the head from the apron. Finn Balor launches Bo into the barrier now. Finn Balor with another toss into the barrier before bringing it back into the ring. Finn Balor hits Slingblade and a running dropkick into the corner.

Finn Balor goes to the top and hits a Coup de Grace for the pin.

Winner: Finn Balor

– After the match, Finn Balor stands tall as we go to replays. Finn Balor stands tall in the corner as the celebration continues.

– Corey Graves apparently receives a message and has to leave to go handle some business. Cole leads us to the WWE 2K18 trailer with cover star Seth Rollins. We go to commercial.

– The announcers talk about the women’s Money In the Bank controversy and send us backstage to RAW General Manager Kurt Angle on the phone, talking to someone about MITB. Corey Graves walks in and is sorry Angle didn’t have a happy Father’s Day. Graves says he got the same text Angle did. Graves has a plan. Enzo Amore and Big Cass walk in. Angle asks Enzo why he talked trash to UFC star Conor McGregor on Twitter. Cass isn’t worried about a tweet, he wants to talk about how they have been getting attacked lately. Cass says he knows for a fact that Big Show is the one attacking them. Angle promises we will know who is doing the attacking by the end of tonight. Enzo and Cass leave. Graves starts talking to Angle about his plan as we go back to the ring.

– Seth Rollins makes his way out to a pop. Rollins talks about how today was awesome with the WWE 2K18 announcement. Rollins talks about being on the cover and gets a “you deserve it” chant. He says this cover is for the fans as well.

Seth Rollins goes on and wants to make a promise to the fans but the graphic flashes and Bray Wyatt appears on the big screen. Wyatt cuts a promo on Seth Rollins and runs him down. Seth Rollins responds and says he is the man. He’s been around some of the most egotistical people in this business but lately Wyatt has been the worst. They have words and Seth Rollins says Gods only exist in our minds… Wyatt may be a God in his world but he’s nothing in Rollins’ world. Wyatt says he warned Rollins, anyone to take his name in vain will be punished. Wyatt warned Rollins and now it’s time to make a sacrifice. Now… he’s here. Wyatt blows out the lantern and his music starts playing in the arena.

Wyatt marches to the ring as Seth Rollins waits. The lights come back on and Seth Rollins dives from the ring, taking Wyatt down on the floor. Seth Rollins ‘ music hits and he leaves up the ramp as Wyatt looks on from the floor at ringside. We go to a replay as Seth Rollins stares Wyatt down. Seth Rollins turns and walks to the back as Wyatt laughs.

– Still to come, Kurt Angle cracks the case on the mystery attackers. Also, Reigns vs. Joe. Back to commercial.

Akira Tozawa vs. TJP

Before the match can begin, the music hits and out comes Titus O’Neil. He says this match needs the proper hype but can’t have that without the proper brand. He enters the ring, plugs The Titus Brand and introduces both Superstars. Titus gives TJP a decent introduction but goes all out for Tozawa. TJP takes control early on but Tozawa rolls him up for a 2 count after some showing off. Tozawa with a deep arm drag. Titus tells Tozawa to bring TJP back in but he already was. TJP pleads with Tozawa and suckers him in for a cheap shot. TJP hits his gutbuster for a close 2 count. Tozawa blocks a Detonation Kick and drops TJP. Tozawa goes back to the top and hits the big diving Swanton Bomb for the win.

Winner: Akira Tozawa

– After the match, Tozawa stands tall as Titus enters the ring and calls for replays. We go to replays. Titus calls for fans to give it up for Tozawa. He announces that he and Apollo Crews will face the RAW Tag Team Champions later tonight.Titus says Neville doesn’t look like a proud king, he looks like a scared little boy. Titus says Neville will surely be annihilated by the “powa” of Tozwa. Tozawa’s music hits as Neville looks on.

Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe

Roman Reigns via Coquina Clutch in 18:07. Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns shoulder block each other early on and neither man backs down. Samoa Joe hits another running shoulder block but Roman Reigns still stands. Joe pie-faces Roman Reigns, and Roman Reigns comes back with a right hand. Reigns hits a few uppercuts, and Samoa Joe comes back with a knee and a forearm for the face. Reigns ducks a clothesline and hits a running clothesline that drops Joe. at last Roman Reigns is in the corner gearing up for a spear, but we hear a beeping noise that distracts Reigns. On the big screen we see an ambulance back up into the arena, and Braun Strowman bursts out of the doors. Roman Reigns is distracted by Strowman’s appearance on the big screen, and Samoa Joe sneaks up from behind and puts Roman Reigns in the Coquina Clutch for the win. Braun Strowman returned in an ambulance backstage to provide the distraction. After the match, Braun comes to the ring and screams “I’m not finished with you” in a mic before slamming Roman Reigns back down to the mat.

Winner by Knockout: Samoa Joe

– After Joe heads to the back, Reigns is shown still laying in the ring recovering. Braun Strowman’s music hits and he walks down to the ring with purpose. Strowman grabs a mic and steps in the ring. Strowman tells Reigns he’s not finished with him, then he grabs Reigns up off the mat and hits a reverse chokeslam. Strowman taunts the crowd and gets a big reaction. Strowman grabs the mic again, and tells Reigns if he’s man enough to come see him at the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view in an ambulance match.

-The Miz comes down to the ring for MizTV. He invites wife Maryse out. There’s a big red box in the ring, as well as two bears holding signs. A fixed grandfather clock is in the box. Miz goes on to apologize for everything over the last few weeks. Dean Ambrose interrupts. Maryse’s drink ends up all over her face and the clock is knocked over. Maryse leaves the ring. Miz turns around and gets clotheslined. The bears attack Dean Ambrose as it’s Dallas and Axel! Dean Ambrose eats a Skull Crushing Finale to end the segment.

Titus O’Neill and Apollo Crews vs. Sheamus and Cesaro

Cesaro hits a running European uppercut on Crews early on, then tags in Sheamus. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy are shown watching backstage. Sheamus lays into Crews with strikes then puts him in an arm lock. Cesaro tags in and stomps a mud hole in Crews in the corner. Crews stuns Cesaro with a kick to the head, then Titus O’Neill gets the tag. Titus drops Cesaro with a running shoulder block then tosses Cesaro across the ring. Titus hits a running splash in the corner then a big boot on Cesaro. Sheamus gets the blind tag and misses a flying clothesline off the top. Titus O’Neill slams him and Crews tags in and hits a standing moonsault for a two count. Cesaro cheap-shots Crews behind the ref’s back, then tags in and

Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

Alexa Bliss joined commentary before the match, but Emma came out and chased her down to the ring. The four women brawl in the ring before Dana and Mickie run down to join. Bayley’s music hits last. She takes out Bliss and Emma before Nia gets a hold of her. Mickie and Dana go after Nia, double dropkicking her out of the ring. The four faces stand tall together.

Winner by Disqualification: Nia Jax

Kurt Angle reveals who’s been attacking Enzo and Cass

Kurt Angle comes out to solve the biggest mystery in WWE. Enzo and Cass are welcomed to the ring first, followed by The Revival, and then Big Show. Show calls them SAWFT, and says he would’ve attacked them from the front if he were to do it. Show suggests he doesn’t need to be on Raw anymore and then leaves. Scott Dawson makes a case for why it wasn’t The Revival.

Corey Graves stands up and says WWE doctors didn’t treat Big Cass for a “baseball sized lump.” Cass also competed last week despite not being cleared. Graves presents Angle footage of Cass moving around equipment backstage and then laying down pretending to be hurt. Graves states that Cass attacked Enzo. Cass admits that he did it because Enzo runs his mouth every single day.

Cass goes off about wanting to watch Enzo suffer. He tried to see if Enzo was smart enough to realize what was going on, or if he was just as dumb as he looks. Cass says he’s through before booting Enzo as Angle watches.
